When a new DFCU debit or credit card is issued due to the previous card expiring or being lost/stolen, Visa will automatically send updates with relevant card data (card numbers and expiration dates) to merchants. To receive the updates, the merchant must be participating in VAU and maintain card-on-file account information for the processing of recurring payments, such as a subscription service or utility bill.
