Some of our members have had their computers infected with a virus that claims to have found infections on their computer. This virus is a fake !!! It's purpose is to trick the user into thinking their computer is infected and that the user needs to purchase a program to remove the infections. Should you see any warnings that your computer may have a virus, under NO circumstances should you purchase the removal program. This is a scam!

However, make sure that your computer DOES have a legitimate antivirus program installed. AVG is a legitimate free antivirus piece of software that is available for download at http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage .

Another valuable legitimate tool is Malware byte's Anti Malware. This also free and available at http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php .

Look for the free version at both of these web sites.
