| | April 29, 2013 | Important Virtual Branch Security Upgrade Information | Dear Valued Virtual Branch Client,
Dannemora Federal Credit Union is scheduled to migrate to the new Virtual Branch Architecture on May 30th, 2013.
On 06/06/13, we will upgrade Enhanced Authentication. Beginning on 06/06/13, the image that currently appears above the Security Code will no longer be displayed. After you log on, you will be prompted to re-enroll in Enhanced Authentication by selecting new security questions and a Security Phrase. After enrollment, when you logon, this phrase will display in the same place as the previous image. For additional details about the change, Click Here. | | February 5, 2013 | DFCU Great Grades Promotion | As the 2012-2013 steadily rolls on, we would like to remind students and parents of our Great Grades Promotion.
This long standing program offers students in grades K-12 the opportunity to submit their report card, each quarter or trimester, to receive a cash deposit to celebrate their Great Grades!
Students will receive $1 for each grade they receive of an 85% or higher, up to $5 per quarter/ trimester.
DFCU knows the importance of a solid education, and we are happy to support students who work as hard as they play.
Report cards may be hand delivered to your local branch, or mailed to 122 New York Road, Plattsburgh, NY 12903, Attn: Marketing Dept.
Please note that report cards must be received, prior to the release of the next quarter or trimester report cards, to be rewarded. What this means is that once we begin processing 2nd quarter report cards, we will not longer be able to accept 1st quarter report cards, and so on, throughout the year. Students will have until August 31st to turn in 4th quarter/3rd trimester grades.
If you are unable to make it to one of our four branches before the next report cards are released, please take advantage of our mailing option.
| | January 29, 2013 | Email Scam Alerts | Please be advised that NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) will never email you. There has recently been an email circulating with the subject line, "NCUSIF Coverage Suspension." The authentication of this email cannot be determined, but it is not from DFCU or NCUA. If you receive such an email, please delete it, as this is a potential scam.
Updated March 8, 2013: Treasury FMS (Financial Management Services) warns of emails being send from "CustomerSupport@fms.treas.gov" regarding an outstanding debt with the federal government. Please be aware that Treasury will never email you, to send notice of debt. If you receive such emails, they should be forwarded to TOP.Customer.Service@fms.treas.gov or faxed to 855-292-9700. FMS is currently looking into this issue.
| | January 28, 2013 | Important Information Regarding Your Account | Dannemora Federal Credit Union would like to remind all members that you may not have a tax return (State or Federal) directly deposited into an account that does not belong to you (or a joint owner on your account).
Unfortunately, this is not our rule, it is the law.
Example: If your child does not have an account, they may not use your account for their return to be deposited into- it will be sent back.
Solution: Anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Clinton County may qualify for membership at DFCU. New accounts do not have to be established for a certain length of time before direct deposit is allowed. Your child/parent/spouse/friend can have their tax return deposited into their own, NEW DFCU account.
