While the branch experience may look different now, our commitment to providing our members with exceptional service is stronger than ever. To keep our members and staff safe, we now have new safety protocols and procedures for in-branch services. In accordance with NYS Department of Health Regulations, anyone who has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to entry, may enter a DFCU branch without a mask. Those who have not received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to entry, will be required to wear a mask inside a DFCU branch.

If you forget your mask, do not worry - we can provide you with one! If you are unvaccinated and prefer not to wear a mask, we will happy to assist you in other ways; Our Tom Miller Road branch and New York Road branch drive-thrus are ready to serve you. We also offer a variety of digital services that allow you bank without stepping inside a branch. 

When possible, we ask that you continue to use digital services (including account opening and loan applications), the night drop, call center, and the drive-thru.

Call Center Services

Our Call Center is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Many services offered in-branch can be done through our call center, including balance inquires, transfers, loan payments and updating personal information. Please call 518-825-0323 to speak with a Call Center Representative.

Drop Box Services at our Champlain Branch

When the lobby is closed during our limited hours, staff at the Champlain Branch are available to assist you with transactions via the Drop Box as you would at a drive-thru. Services available via the drop box include deposits, withdrawals, and new debit cards. Please see the above chart for hours that this service is available.

Dannemora Branch Business Deposits

For business transactions at our Danemora Branch, please drop all deposits in the drop box and call in all change orders in advance.

Please call the branch at 518-825-0323 ext. 8001 to set up an appointment to pick up your change and receipts.

Digital Services

We strongly encourage our members to continue to use digital services when possible. We offer numerous digital services that allow you to manage your finances 24/7 from home. More information on our digital services can be found here.


  • Unvaccinated staff will be wearing a mask to protect you and other staff.
  • All unvaccinated visitors must wear a mask in branches in accordance with New York State’s Executive Order. Masks covering your full face are not permitted (such as ski masks). If you are unvaccinated and elect to not wear a mask we will ask you to utilize the drive-thru.
  • You may be asked to temporarily remove the mask to confirm your identity.
  • Germ guards are now in place at each teller station and office.
  • Hand sanitizer is available to members as they enter the lobby. We strongly encourage members to use the sanitizer upon entering and exiting.
  • Each branch has a maximum capacity for visitors in the lobby at a time (varies at each branch, see details below).
  • Each branch will have floor markers telling you where to stand in the teller line to ensure social distancing. Please wait on your marker until the line moves. If no marker is available, please wait outside until a member exits before you enter.
  • Common areas including waiting areas and restrooms will remain closed.

In addition, we have implemented new procedures for cleaning and disinfecting our branches at regular intervals throughout the day.

Because DFCU is a member of NCUA, your deposits of up to $250,000 are insured by the federal government meaning your money is safe and you will continue to have access it.

Giving back to our community is more important than ever. Dannemora Federal Credit Union has announced a $40,000 philanthropic initiative to support multiple non-profit organizations in the North Country focusing on COVID-19 relief. Funds received by the recipient organizations will be used for support services for individuals/families facing financial hardship due to the pandemic and patient/healthcare support. Click here to learn more about this and other ways we are giving back.
