Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders

At Dannemora Federal Credit Union (DFCU), we believe in investing in the future. The NextGen Ambassadors Council (NGAC) is designed to empower high school juniors and seniors to grow as leaders, expand their financial literacy, and engage directly with credit union and community leaders across the North Country.

Through NGAC, students gain exclusive access to professional development opportunities, mentorship, and real-world skills that will set them up for success — not just financially, but for life.

APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN FOR THE INCOMING-JUNIORS (2026/2027) SCHOOL YEAR.

The deadline for the applicants is August 19th, 2026.

Program Highlights

• Meet with local business and community leaders.

Details about the program: (all details/information can also be found on page 5 of the application!)

All meetings take place on a Thursdays (dates below) from 11:00am - 1:30pm at 342 Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh, NY (the DFCU Operations Center).
Students are responsible for transporting themselves to/from the meetings.
Catered lunch will be provided to the students along with networking.
Binders are given to students at the beginning of the school year. We ask all students to attend with their binders and print outs every meeting.
Students are given a letter at each meeting confirming their attendance if needed.
